It may be a small mention, but the Pear A Fare has made the newspaper in Chicago. In our goals to make the world aware of the great food and wine from Southern Oregon, this is a big step. The Chicago Tribune has mentioned the Pear A Fare in their “April Big Events” calendar!
“Foodies” are one of the tourism sectors that spends the most money when on the road, and then tends to continue to purchase regional products long after returning home. Spreading the word about Medford’s wordclass artisan food and pears is important to our many farmers, vineyards, breweries, and chefs. These folks truly make wonderous food.
Congratulations to the Pear A Fare volunteer board for making the news spread to Chicago! The Pear A Fare started in 2009, so this is only it’s thrid year. The success of the event comes from hard work, but also a clear vision that food from our region is some of the best in the world.
